Sustainable Residential Design & Planning
Amy Ellison Ostberg After working for several large architectural firms as well as designing homes for builders for 21 years, Amy decided it was time to put her own stamp on design. In January of 2007 she started New Hampshire Design Collaborative, LLC. Her passion comes from frustration with the poor design, function, quality and detail of the typical houses that are being built today. The classic scale and design having been stripped away leaving big ugly boxes. Feeling that big is not necessary better, that it is the function and detail of spaces that matter. All of Ms Ostberg's designs have pantries, mudrooms, linen closets and plenty of other storage; homes that work for every size family. In keeping with the timeless historic charm of New England architecture, she incorporates open plans and energy efficiency with modular building or sips panels and other sustainable materials. Amy designs homes that are grounded in tradition for the modern, busy family.
